“South Yorkshire’s No.1 FM rock show” for over 8 years.

Presented by Graham Marshall & Sinead Rankin, with help from rock gods Bona and Andy, live from Studio 1 every Wednesday teatime 5 till 7. Our mission is simples…to ROCK SHEFFIELD’SFUNGLIN SOCKS OFF!!!!

we play the best rock music from the last 40 years or so as well as letting you know the latest rock news, gig reviews and local rock gig information. We also publicize new local, national and international rock bands that come to  our attention.

Each show is painstakingly researched and lovingly crafted. Unfortunately, all that goes out of the window as soon as the sliders are cranked up. Hopefully, during the following 2 hour rock-fest we play some of the greatest music ever recorded, in spite of Graham’s best efforts to cock things up.

The Wap, the Buccaneer Bar and Rebels are long gone and some of us may be looking a bit worse for wear, but the Sheffield rock scene is still alive and kicking with great rock pubs and live music venues all over the place.

Go to Spirit of the Wapentake on Facebook for the latest on the radio show and feel free to put your rock gig info on there. You can also email us at: with requests  etc.

Gosh, I’m on one of those pics! Does that mean I have to admit to being over 30?
