@MyKindaPlace is mainly an interview and conversation based weekly radio programme

My name is Richard Motley. I am passionate about City-Making especially place-making for the creative economy.

I manage the CIQ Agency which trades as Integreat Plus and produce the radio programme, My Kinda Place supported by Sheffield Live!

Integreat Plus is a social enterprise set up to help support individuals, communities and businesses to achieve their place based ambitions. Integreat Plus strongly supports Sheffieldlive! in making accessible digital media production opportunity and skills to enable and equip  communities in the telling of their stories, histories and articulating people’s aspirations.

My Kinda Place is  strongly focused on the need to understand places and how they impact on our lives and that we can and should do more of to shape our places, communities, cities and neighbourhoods. We all love distinctive, inclusive, fair and ‘at ease’ places.

I like to get under the skin of the major place based issues facing Sheffield and Yorkshire whether it’s the need to build new, affordable and well-designed housing or exploring new types of housing choice or provision for those in need of housing; whether its about becoming a Smart City, re-imagining our High Streets, our City Centres or re focusing our libraries and other public services.

We need to be more informed and democratically engaged if we are to create really sustainable and economically resilient places, communities and city centres.
