Nov 10, 2011 by SheffieldLive!

first part of the show
[Repeat from 3/11/11] A DIY feminist festival is soon to take place in Sheffield! Erini Apostolidou hears from the LaDIYfest team as they’re finalising the programme. Hazel, Cara, Andy, Charlotte, Fiona and Hannah share their enthusiasm with us and give us an insight into the kind of live acts and workshops that we can expect.

second part of the show
Steve Buckley, one of the founders of SheffieldLive, discusses with Erini his recent trip to Libya. He gives us an insight into the grassroots media that sprung during and after the revolution and gives us examples of individuals and groups who played a central role in the revolutionary developments.
Steve was there in the context of an international mission to strenghten independent media in post-Gaddafi Libya. He took part in this mission as a representative of the World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters.
